The ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL FORUM was born from an alliance between the M.I. Villena City Council and the University of Alicante, through the Territorial Strategy of Villena + Innovation (ETV+I).From the work carried out, the promoter group emerged, whose task was the elaboration of a regulation for citizen participation.The Forum is a PARTICIPATION BODY made up of representatives of Villenas economic and social organizations, as well as political groups and formations represented in the Villena City Council in each electoral process.The Forum ADDRESSES issues of general interest for the economic, social and strategic development of Villena, offering citizens, associations, entities and groups a meeting point for activities of all kinds that fit their purposes.Based on the personal commitment of altruistic and voluntary WORK.That it pretends favors, COMMUNICATION channels.With a vocation for continuity and UTILITY.And that is characterized in its decisions by the search for CONSENSUS.Its objective is the study and promotion of initiatives that respond to the COMMON GOOD, and that facilitate the social well-being and economic development of our Territory. It becomes an ADVISORY BODY of the M.I City Council on those issues that are especially relevant to Villena.Formation of interdisciplinary WORKING GROUPS OR COMMISSIONS to study issues that respond to the concern of the public. Value and integrate the TALENT, skills and experiences of people.
